The aim of the LIFE MEMORY project is to build a prototype to prove that AnMBR technology can be an alternative to conventional industrial wastewater treatments. This new concept considers wastewater as a source of energy, nutrients and recycled water.
Its main aims are the following:
- To reduce WWTP energy consumption by 70%
- To reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by 80% for every COD unit eliminated from the system
- To improve effluent quality for reuse and minimise residues by 50%
